Hard Drive Failure issue after windows 10 update in Mar'2021

HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba075tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear All,

 

I am facing hard drive issue after updating my original windows 10 OS in Mar'21. Now Hard Drive is showing following failure code GLPA2J-90JAL4-GXGGQK-608M03.

 

Please help me to resolve the issue.

Hi,

The failure id indicates that SMART has detected that the drive will fail. So if you have important data and can still boot into Windows you should back it up.

You can replace the Hard Drive, I would use a 2.5" SATA 3 SSD

On page 43 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive

You can create a USB drive with the OS on it and the use it to install Windows on the PC

I woould also consider adding at least another 4GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM in the empty slot.
