Hard Drive/SSD Short DST Check FAILED (Blue Screen & System Crashes)

Hello,

My HP laptop is frequently crashing with Blue Screen errors and sudden shutdowns. I ran the HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI, and the Memory and Processor tests passed, but the SSD/Hard Drive test FAILED.

Here are the exact results:

- Hard Drive/SSD SMART Check: PASSED
- Hard Drive/SSD Short DST Check: FAILED
- Failure ID: RTVWH5D-9NGCS8-XD7XHG-60RT03
- Product ID: 7LG86PA#ACJ
- SSD Model: Samsung MZVLB256HAHQ-000H1

Because the DST test fails every time, I believe my internal SSD is failing and needs replacement. Windows is also showing multiple "Hardware error" entries in Reliability Monitor, and applications crash often.

Please advise if this SSD failure (DST FAILED) qualifies for replacement and what the next steps are.

If your notebook is still under warranty *which I doubt since it is pretty old), please contact HP customer support starting at the link below and submit a support case to have the SSD replaced under the warranty.

If your notebook is not under warranty, you will have to replace the drive and reinstall the operating system by yourself or take the PC to your local repair shop and get it repaired there.
