Product: HP Envy 17 notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I've been experiencing loss of data, with a lot of text missing from a few Word documents.

After wrecking my brain tryinf to figure out what the problem might be, today I ran a system diagnostic from the BIOS, and it turned out that my hard disk failed all over the line. It failed the short DST check, the long DST check, and the Optimized DST check.

Obviously I'm going to replace the had disk as soon as I can, but does anybody know whether the missing text can be recovered?
