Hp NoteBook 15 bs085nia
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently bought Hp 15 Bs085nia previously i was using Hp 15 Ay191nia

now in my new laptop when i went to install new windows 10 (Because Hp laptop came with freeDos)

in the partition there were 2 drives already

First one was      HPDOCS                  (primary 7.8 free of 😎

Second on was   BUILDPART           (System 7.7 free of 😎

it is first time im seeing BUILDPART  insted of System Reserved  and  partition size are also quite large as compare to other System Reserved partition.

Kindly tell me

what is BUILDPART ?  and for what is use?

Is it okay for Brand new Laptop to have these partions alreday?

NOTE*     im curious about it bcause there wasn't any partion of that type in my other Hp laptop

Thank You So Much In Advance For Help

Well, the FreeDOS needs to reside somewhere and in this case it would seem to be the BUILDPART based on the name alone.

If you are not planning to return to FreeDOS you don't need to keep either one.

If the system does not have an EFI system partition already and you would like to install Windows 10 using the GPT partitioning instead of the older MBR style, you will need to change the partitioning style first.

If you would need to preserve some existing partitions you could use the new MBR2GPT tool:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

Otherwise you could just get rid of the partitions and do a simple conversion if needed:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/windows-setup-installing-using...

People are using their precious remaining lifetime to try and help, so it is common courtesy to come back and tell what the solution eventually was even if you found it elsewhere. It is for the benefit of everyone.
