HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p100ni (ENERGY STAR)

Help I have a problem with my Pavillion HP when I start to open it's say  prepare automatic repairs I have try all repairs but when I try to search the the problem it's gave me this answer it's Hard drive short DST failed and failure ID : 9LX23T-7QCC92-MFPWLJ-60QX03

In order to fix the problem, you will have to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

You didn't mention what operating system you are running, but if you didn't upgrade the OS to Windows 10, Windows 8.1 is no longer available for download from Microsoft.

 

If you were running W10 on your notebook when the hard drive failed, you can reinstall Windows 10 by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below:

 

Download Windows 10

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

If you plan on replacing the drive, I recommend you replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).
