I am getting an Hard Disk error with failure ID: U8DU6X-96AAGN-GXGJ2J-607403. Any idea on what it is and do i have to replace my hard disk?

@STeja , welcome to the Community.
Yes, this error code means that your hard drive has failed. The only solution is to replace the drive. Hopefully, you have made a backup of your personal data or it will be lost permanently. If you don't have a SSD installed, you may want to consider adding one. This will improve system performance considerably.

Thank for the reply and yes i took the back up.
Can you suggest me the correct SSD which i can buy for the model which i am using and can i buy it online or should i have to contact HP local support center in order to do so.

On Page 30 is a list of compatible M.2, SSD's, and the instructions for removing and installing them. Make certain to read the Important warning at the top of the section. You will have to remove the Optane memory to use the socket for a M.2.

Thank you for the update on your purchase, @STeja! I am glad that your laptop is running faster. I will never have another computer without a SSD boot drive. There is no comparison to a HDD.
