Help Upgrade M2 / SSD HP 15-ck002np
10-05-2018 06:10 PM
Good evening
I have a HP 15-ck002np which has a 1TB HDD, and I opened the laptop and saw that it has a free M2 slot.
I wanted to put it an M2 but I needed help with the 256GB Compatible Brand and Model.
Thank you

It supports M.2 2280, SATA-3, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive with TLC. That is an open option, easy to choose. If you wish to use HP parts, please use the following parts:
- 512-GB, M.2 2280, SATA-3, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive with TLC part # L01680-001
- 512-GB, M.2 2280, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive part # L03090-001
- 360-GB, M.2 2280, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive with TLC part # L01678-001
- 256-GB, M.2 2280, SATA-3, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive with TLC part # L01679-001
- 256-GB, M.2 2280, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive part # L03089-001
- 128-GB, M.2 2280, PCIe, MVMe, solid-state drive with TLC part # L01677-001
Parts with prefix L are new, you may not be able to find anywhere now.
Regards..

Thank you for the quick response.
Can you say one of a make / model M2?
I did not anticipate how to search for the most appropriate model.

The M2 you are looking at was the SSD Samsung 250GB 960 EVO Series SSD M.2 - MZ-V6E250BW.
Is this compatible?

Thanks for the answers
For now the difference in price is little if you chose the
SSD M.2 2280 Samsung 970 Evo 250GB MLC V-NAND NVMe MZ-V7E250BW
Is this also compatible?
Thanks for the help.

Good afternoon
I already installed the M2 Samsung 970 EVO successfully :generic:.
But now I needed help because Fast Mode is not activated because it is not supported, (image below) will I have to activate something in Bios?
Already upgrade a Bios to a newer one.

I just put an Evo 970 in my personal laptop and I did not install the Samsung Magician. Using Crystal Disk I get about 3200 mb/s read so I can't imagine how much faster "fast mode" could be.

I just uninstalled the Samsung Magician and did the test with the Disk Part co and the values are very low I guess down goes a print.
What configuration can be wrong?
