Hinge separation and subsequent fan damage on HP Envy 17-j057cl

HP Recommended
Envy 17-j057cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had read through another forum post and had to create a new thread. My HP Envy 17-j057cl had a hinge separation problem, which had now caused my fan to seize (not working). I can not boot the machine any longer because there is an error code due to fan malfunction that is keeping it from booting up. I'd like to find out if there is anyway to get this repaired / replaced so that I can use the machine again. Please reach out to me with the course of action I should take.

Thank you,

Frank

Hi @Frankfurter

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
