Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm looking at buying Envy notebooks, like product #8GF05UA.  How can I determine what length M.2 card will be supported in the M.2 storage slot?

Also, will these notebooks support booting from an M.2 SSD -- i.e., with no SATA drive present?

It is an HP ENVY - 17-ae105cl machine. The series does support single storage with M.2 NVMe SSD that means you can boot from M.2 slot and the maximum lenght of M.2 SSD is 80mm  (2280 format)

Thank you!

I reviewed that entire manual and can't see the M.2 size listed anywhere.  Should I want to find that spec for any other notebook, how can I (or others) find it?

Did I say PHYSICALLY 2280 is the max ?

Yes, you gave the specifications I was looking for, for this particular notebook model.

To clarify, my follow-up question is: How or where can we find the M.2 size specification for other notebook models?
