OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-en1000 (2L1F2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I own an HP Omen 15 laptop.

I noticed that even when the CPU is idle and cool (at around 40 degrees Celsius), both the fans in my laptop keep rotating at 2000 RPM which is a pretty high speed. I checked this on HP Omen Gaming Hub. The fans may be also consuming significant power. At such low temperatures of CPU, I do not think that the fans rotating at such a high speed.

How do I make the fans stop completely or reduce the fan speed when CPU temperature is low and CPU is idle? The fans keep rotating even when laptop is idle and on battery power. The fans never stop rotating, ever. I want to stop them from rotating all the time, especially when the CPU is idle and cool.

Please help me fix this issue.

Thanks!

Hi, have you tried using OMEN Performance Control?

You can read more about it here. It should help out.

Yes I use the Omen Gaming Hub. Is that what you mean?

I set the performance mode to Balanced but still the fans never stop spinning. They spin at 2000 RPM at their lowest but never stop spinning, even when on battery.
