If your notebook has an Intel Core processor, it has two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.
If your notebook has an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, it has one memory slot and can support 1 x 8 GB of memory.
See the maintenance and service guide on your notebook's user guides page for the memory upgrade information:
HP Laptop PC 14-d2000 (2D126AV) - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
Notebooks in the 14-d2xxx model series use DDR4-2666 MHz memory, but you can also use DDr4-3200 memory and it will run at the fastest speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at.
