Hello,
I wish to know how to detect the maximum Ram the motherboard can support. I tried to see the specification but nothing was there.
Best Regards

No it has 2 slots. Service Manual says it supports up to 16 gigs:
DDR4-2133 dual channel support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4-2133) Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 16384-MB total system memory (8192×2)
And, while I cannot guarantee it, the DDR4 models have been reported to accept 32 gigs (2 x 16 gig modules DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM).
So 16 for sure and likely 32.

No as long as you do not cause any damage. Of course HP will not warrant the memory you use nor against problems it causes so you would be giving one more reason for warranty issues later but we are assured the upgrade itself does not void warranty. Keep the old memory and reinstall if you ever have to send it in for service.
