Product: HP EliteBook 840 G2
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I've already tested the power adapter to the laptop and I'm getting 22.1v of power. But I'm wondering if there is a way to test if the battery is any good. I've plugged in the laptop to the power adapter and nothing is happening. I believe the laptop is most likely done as we know it but wondering if there are any other methods to test if something shorted or just a bad battery.
