I just wanted to ask How would i know the type of ram and SSD drive i need to buy to upgrade for my laptop HP ENVY Notebook - 15-ae124?

How would i know it will be compatible?

Thanks a lot Paul for the answer it helped me But i wanted to know the maximum of it, like if i can add ddr4 rams ?

You're very welcome.

You can only run DDR3L memory in your notebook.

DDR4 memory runs at a different voltage, has a different # of contact pins and the slot in the memory is cut in a different place to prevent installing the memory in a notebook where it is not supported, such as yours.

Now i get it. I can only use DDR3L Rams Up to 16 GB ... 1600 - 1866

and i can Use SSD up to 2 TB .

Is there any video to show me how i can open my laptop and replace these parts? i searched but it's all different models
