Hello,
I found a post from 2020 and decided to say something aswell because i have had the same thing happening to me today.
Same as last person said, this is not about warranty, is simply about people safety!
I found my laptop with the cover poped and one of the screws broken and tought one of my kids had droped it, to my surprise, when i took the cover out, i found the battery all swollen and ready to burst, it seems.
As the other guy said, i have two little kids that use the laptop and i cant imagine what could have happened if it exploded in their face, or if it set the house on fire if i didnt see it before it happens!
I have never seen this situation, and as last post proves, it is not the first time it happens to your products, and i have worked with alot of brands and laptops, but is the first time i saw this happening. This is a safety issue and someone can get baddly hurt or worse because of it!

This is something that can happen with any product using Lithium Ion batteries for a power source
and is not brand related.
It also happens to Tesla electric vehicles, all of which use Lithium Ion batteries.
