Pavilion 15 cs0007ni
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My hp Pavilion 15 cs0007ni is flashing the charging led 5 times whether the machine is off or on. But the laptop is working perfectly fine. What could be the problem and how do l solve it. I have tried updating bios but nothing changed.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Disconnect the power supply and power the computer with battery power. This resets the Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller.

  1. Unplug the AC power from the computer.

  2. Press and hold the power button for more than 12 seconds.

  3. Release the power button (after at least 12 seconds).

The computer powers on and should boot normally.

  4. Re-connect the AC power to the computer.

  5. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
