Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0000 (598V0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My new hp victus laptop 's SSD is not running at its full potential. It came with a WD nvme m2 gen 4 ssd and it's advertised speeds on WDs websites are over 3500mb/s but I am getting only 1800mb/s speed. I also tried a other WD ssd with similar speeds but still m getting only 1800mb/s. Does my laptop support speeds over 1800mb/s. If it does, can anyone help me achieve those speeds??

I understand you are facing a performance issue with your Victus By HP 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop 15-Fb0000. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Update the BIOS, & Chipset drivers to resolve this issue

If the issue persists, then Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool and Update Windows.

  • Select Start  > Settings  > Update & Security  > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them
  • Also, open HP Support assistant on your PC and run the Performance tune-up check.

If the issue still persists, then please follow the steps mentioned in the below documents:

  • Disabling indexing on SSD.
  • Reduce unnecessary writing.
  • Enable write caching in Device Manager.
  • Move temporary files to another place.
  • Create a RAM disk (requires at least 3 GB of memory).
