just bought HP655,fresh Win7,everything installed ,but the WiFI drivers make me crazy.Installation starts but can not finish.The window just disappears. In Device manager Network controller in yellow.I tried both sp56889.exe and
Any ideas ?

Thanks Paul, thats what i was checking-this is atheros driver,but in the HP Driver support they give me Ralink driver for Hp655.Why is that?

Please go to the device manager, click on the Network controller needing drivers and post the hardware ID for it.
If you don't know how to do that, please read the info at the link below.

You're very welcome.
They must have inadvertently left the wireless driver off the support page, in as much as they have the Atheros bluetooth driver and software listed.
If your notebook comes with bluetooth, you will probably need to install that Atheros bluetooth software and driver too since your card is probably both a wireless and bluetooth combo card.
If there is a USB/Vid device in your device manager with a little yellow ! mark, that would be it.

I'm sorry that your running into that issue. I'll provide you with a link to the driver needed for your computer.
Which operating system are you running? 32 or 64 bit?
See the image below. What manufacturer name is listed for the Wifi/Wireless line in Device Manager? (ex. Ralink, Qualcomm)
