 Hi @om2907,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?

Meanwhile, you can try these steps:

Check the Charger & Port – Ensure you’re using the original HP adapter. Try connecting it directly to a wall socket and check if the charging light turns on.

Perform a Power Reset – Turn off the laptop → unplug charger → press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds → reconnect charger and turn it back on.

Battery Health Test – Run HP Hardware Diagnostics (press F2 at startup) → select Component TestsPowerBattery.

Update BIOS & Drivers – Use HP Support Assistant or HP website to update BIOS and system drivers.

Try Without Battery – If your model allows, remove the battery and power the laptop only with the charger. If it powers on, the battery is faulty.

Replace the Battery – Since the system is warning about very low capacity, the battery has reached end of life. Replacing it is the long-term fix.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi
