My laptop stopped working. When I ran the component diagnostics, I got error message

GU5P24-7NAA7N-MFPWMG-60R603.

Here is a translation of the error code report, minus your notebook's serial number...

Failure ID Tag Checksum HP Serial Number Test Date Failure Code Device Includes Error Message
GU5P24-7NAA7N-MFPWMG-60R603OKXXXXXXXXXX9/2/20303StorageFloppy Drive, Hard Drive, Memory Drive, Optical Drive, SCSI, Tape DriveHard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure

 

The code is basically telling you that you need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
