Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an a HP 15dk-0049tx laptop, can I upgrade it from 8 GB to 16 GB?

How many RAM slots does it have?

Do I need to replace 8 GB with 16 GB or Can I just add another 8 GB if I have another slot?

Your notebook has two memory slots, and each slot can support up to a 16 GB DDR4-2666 MHz memory chip.

 

If you just want to add a second 8 GB DDR4-2666 MHz memory chip in the empty slot, that would be fine.

 

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook.
