I recd this laptop for a gift. It doesn't  seem to keep a charge and i would like a replacement battery.

You can actually order the battery from HP simply by selecting the Box (Add to Cart).  The Part # is 919700-850.  You might find that HP is a bit higher priced than other sellers, but you always know that the product you buy from HP will work.

It has all of the information that you will need to maintain the laptop in the future.
