I recently purchased an HP Laptop (Model: 14-ep1181TU) from HP official website.
The official HP product page clearly lists the GPU as “Intel® Arc™ Graphics.”

However, the unit I received does not contain Intel Arc Graphics.

After checking with Intel tools (GPU-Z, Task Manager, and Hardware IDs), the GPU inside my laptop is:

Intel Xe-LPG Integrated Graphics

8 Xe Cores / 128 EUs

Hardware ID: DEV_7DD5

This GPU is labeled only as “Intel R Graphics”, not Intel Arc.

This is not the Arc integrated GPU configuration that HP advertised. The specification on the website is misleading and does not match the hardware delivered to me.

This mismatch affects GPU performance, video editing capabilities, and overall value of the product.

Hi @ashishshoby,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I would like to inform you that for the HP 14-ep1181TU, the product specifications list Intel® Arc™ Graphics as the standard graphics option for this configuration. This is because the graphics solution varies depending on the specific processor variant used within the HP 14-ep series.

To clarify further:

  • Models equipped with an Intel® Core™ i3 processor in the 14-ep series typically come with Intel® Arc™ Graphics, which is part of Intel’s newer graphics architecture.
  • Models configured with Intel® Core™ i5 and Intel® Core™ i7 processors in the same series usually feature Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics instead of Intel Arc. This difference is based on Intel’s processor design and how the graphics architecture is paired with each CPU generation.

Because the HP 14-ep series include multiple processor options, the graphics specifications will change depending on the exact model number and CPU configuration.

If you can share the full product number of your device, I’ll be able to verify the graphics specifications accurately and provide further clarification.

Take care and have an amazing day!
