OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc1xxx

I bought OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc1xxx which came with single channel 16gb Ram stick. I want to upgrade it to 32 GB dual channel but don't want to buy 2 ram sticks since I already have one.

You're very welcome.

It shouldn't be a problem, since Crucial guarantees compatibility for that part number working in your notebook.

The memory chip HP has in there should also be a 2666 MHz memory chip according to the specs...

Here is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-omen-15-dc1026tx

From the memory on the above list, I would recommend this part #:  CT16G4SFD8266

You should be able to buy Crucial memory almost anywhere in the world.

You don't have to buy directly from Crucial itself.

Thank you soo much!. But I have question about ram upgrades. So I planning to buy 1x16gb RAM and add it to my laptop which also has another 1x16 GB ram. Will the ram models not being the same cause any problem?
