Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I want to upgrade the stock ddr3 ram to ddr4 on my hp 450 g3 i5 6200u. What is the best way to do it. The ddr4 might not be from the same company and would be 2133. Is it wise to just put an 8Gb ddr4 ram from another brand? Would ddr4 upgrade increase the speed or under clock because of the current (stock) ddr3 ram?

No you can't DDR4 won't fit to DDR3 slot physically

I know that but the specs sheet says that it has both PC3 and PC4 slots. Does that help?
