I am using my Notebook for vary long time and now I want to upgrade storage or/and add storage to the system for better performance with Windows 11.

My current configuration for the system is default yet. Following is the details for more:

I asked Gemini for possibility of storage upgrade for device and as per it, the existing HDD is 5400 RPM SATA only for 1TB with 2.5 inch WD. I should upgrade it to 2.5-inch SATA III (6Gb/s) SSD as it is supported.

Question:
I was not able to download the manual for the system, but, is it really possible?
What are the pros and cons?
If yes, I can update it, then what is the maximum storage I can add using this way?
can someone please suggest any good option in comparisons to brands and SSD I should use for best compatibility?

Another Suggestion was to add PCIe NVMe Gen3 SSD as second derive
how much of maximum I can add?
Should I prefer to add this only and not update the existing one to SATA 3

Other than the Storage I was thinking about to update the RAM also. (Current  is 8gb DDR4)
What is the maximum I can add and what is best branch option for RAM?

Thanks.

No problem, you can set the size you want.

It supports up to 32 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM. This frequency may not be available, but you can use DDR4-3200 or 2666, and then the memory bus will reduce the frequency to 2400 to be compatible with the processor.

Hi @Rashjohar25

This laptop has an M.2 NVME disk slot. The most convenient option for you is to install a disk of this type and the operating system on it and leave the HDD as a storage unit. An NVMe is always much faster and can be any size you want: 1 TB, 2 TB, or more.

And will there be any issues related to motherboard, or processor, if I install 2TB of storage on it?

What about the RAM? should I consider it for upgrade to 16gb or 32 gb?
