I own an HP ENVY TouchSmart 17t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) and wish to upgrade drive to a Solid State Drive and options I have are 1TB and 2TB but it asks for interface and I am unsure if this unit hadles interface SATA, SATA11 or SATA 111 I prefer the fastest out there so please let me know if mylaptop can handle the SATA 111 SSD 1TB drive

From my memory, the HP ENVY TouchSmart 17t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) uses SATA III. Yuo can use the following tool to check:
http://download.cpuid.com/pc-wizard/pc-wizard_2014.2.13.exe
