Hello, I would like to know how to change the m2 sata SSD from 128 to a 480 ADATA one, I first connected it as an external drive to the computer via USB but it does not appear, I have been reading a little and several say that I have to change certain things in the BIOS but I wanted to be 100 percent sure, bios version F.47, i think i need to get acces to advanced setting but i dont know how https://imgur.com/a/AwlfEbD

There are no changes you need to make in the BIOS.
There are no advanced settings. You have a factory built laptop with a limited access BIOS, not an enthusiast DIY PC.
If the SSD is not initialized, it will not be recognized as present.
Are you planning on using it as added storage or as the boot drive?
Your laptop is compatible with PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 or SATA-3, TLC SSD products.

What is the part and model number of the 480 ADATA SSD?
One way to do that would be to put the new M.2 SSD in a USB enclosure and clone the original disk to the new one.
Once that is done, you can disconnect the old disk and boot up to the new operating system installation.
Verify that your new OS works and you have all of your date and apps , you can connect the old disk to a PC or laptop and format it.
Another way would be to disconnect and remove the original disk and use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool to create a Windows installation USB flash drive.
Install the OS to the new M.2 SSD.
Copy your data from the old drive to the new one and then format the old disk

You can thank me by clicking on the "your reply was helpful" button in posts.
The SSD is compatible, but it will be slower than a PCIE NVME 2280 SSD.
