Hi,
I'm planning on buying the HP Omen 15-ax210nb. This comes only with an SSD and I was wondering if there is a free slot for an HDD. I'm almost certain because of the manual. My real question is: Can I just slot in a 2.5" HDD or do I need other components?
Thanks in advance

I have this model with a 2 TB HDD and a 512 gig M.2 SSD so I know first-hand it can hold both, but to add the hard drive you have to have the hard drive bracket and cable kit. Without it the hard drive would just flop around in there.
Service Manual:
See p. 22
Hard drive cable 858969-001
Hard drive brackets 913937-001
See p. 39 for "how to".
You would be better off buying with the hard drive so you get the brackets and cable and add an M.2 SSD which only requires a screw to install.
$24 for cable:
$42 for brackets
