I contacted my service center (Ukraine, Kharkiv), where they told me that I am not allowed to install the new SSD myself. Only they can do it.
My laptop is for work, and I can't be without it.
I asked if they could do it today.
They told me that I have to leave the laptop for repairs (!) for 2 weeks (14 days) (!!!), and they will install the SSD when they have time.
I bought the SSD today. I need to test it because, by law, I have 14 days to return it if it's defective. But I won’t have time to check it.
I am very disappointed with the quality of service from my service center.
Can you please advise me on what to do?
Can I install an SSD myself without voiding the warranty?

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:
Chapter 5 has the NVMe SSD removal and replacement procedure.
The manual indicates that HP wants any work done inside the notebook to be performed by an authorized service center.
Most folks do the work themselves and take the risk that if they break something during the process of doing work inside the notebook, that the warranty would become invalid.
Since this is a peer-to-peer forum and we don't work for or represent HP, we are not authorized on their behalf to respond to any warranty questions or concerns.
Do note however, that if you decide to do the work yourself, that if the notebook ever needs warranty service, you must return it to its original hardware configuration before sending it in for service.

thanks!!!
Yes, I can install it myself. There's nothing complicated about it.
The problem is with my laptop. Approximately every 2-4 days, I get a BSOD with the error code 0x162 KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_INVALID_LOCK_RELEASE.
I've already reinstalled Windows, tried different versions, and selected drivers, but the error persists.
Since I have confidential data on the disk, I wanted to install a clean version of Windows on the new SSD, take out the old drive (with the data), and send the laptop in for repair.
Due to the actions of the service center, my plan isn't working out. Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to do.
