Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Created system image backup. Installed 1TB ssd m2 pcie SSD.  Booted up and restored system image.  Only uses 256GB of SSD. Even format of drive only formats 256Gb. Why?

IF you create an image and then use that to load a drive, the partitioning is going to be the same as the original image.

 

If you're using an MS utility to do the formatting, you should look into using third-party tools, instead -- they provide a lot more options.  Here is one:  MiniTool Partition Wizard
