Omen 880-10
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought an 880-10 has only 8GB RAM to begin with so I decided to switch it out for Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz but the RAM posted doesn't equal to the two 8GB sticks.

@Bwser675

Is it an Omen 880-010 (not Omen 880-10) ? Its specs

     https://support.hp.com/th-en/document/c05525705

It has pre installed

  • Amount: 8 GB
  • Speed: PC4-19200 MB/s
  • Type: DDR4-2400

It MAY accept DDR4 3000MHz RAM but

  (a) It will run at 2400MHz

  (b) It won't run as dual channels (with existing RAM)

The following 8GB of RAM is compatible

Regards.

I've bought 2 from crucial already and they didn't work either I replaced it for for then for both and got a beep code of 3 long 2 short. Would it be a motherboard issue at this point?
