Is is safe to use USB ports to charge my smart watch?

 

My  laptop computer has three USB ports.  One is next to power input,  and the other two are next to each other on the other side of the computer.   Which port should I use?

You can use any of the USB ports to charge.

 

But the laptop must be turned on.

 

Some of the new models have a USB port that is always turned on and you could charge without the laptop being turned on.
