Is it possible to upgrade internet hardware/port so i can get over 100mbps on my laptop using ethernet? Currently i cannot go beyond 100mbps.

Sorry no. Ethernet is hard wired into the motherboard so no way to add an integrated port. You can use a USB 3.0 to gigabit ethernet adapter. In my experience USB adapters are a tad slower than direct ethernet ports but still much faster than old school 100 mbps "fast ethernet".
