I was going to clean the dust out of my laptop when I noticed that my battery was bulging. Is the battery bulging enough to require replacing the battery?

I have had this computer for 3 years. It's been indoors most of the time and not been dropped. It's also been plugged in most of the time when the computer is on.

I've also tried to run a battery test but it keeps saying that it is canceled. What could be the cause of that?

What about the canceled battery test? Do you know why that could have happened?

HP Recommended

Yes because it is not only swollen but the smart chip inside that provides data about the battery has also gone bad.

Thank you
