Is there an extra slot for SSD for 14 cm0087au laptop?

Yes, your notebook has a M.2 slot in which you can install a SATA M.2 SSD.

I am almost 100% sure only the notebooks with the Ryzen processors have M.2 slots that can use a NVMe SSD.

Thanks for the feedback. Based on the manual, i can only upgrade until 256gb is it? Any recommendations?

Those are the only sizes that HP offers.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't install one up to 1 TB.

Thanks for the help sir. May i know where is the location of the m.2 slot? I went to a shop today wanted to install a sata m.2 ssd but they said i dont have extra slot and i needed to change my hdd to ssd.

Unfortunately, that I wouldn't know.

The manual indicates there was supposed to be a M.2 slot included on the motherboard.

The manual does not show any additional parts that are necessary to add the M.2 slot, like some of the manuals do for other models.

Nor does chapter 3 show a list of motherboards that are different because of having or not having a M.2 slot.

But if the person at the PC shop says there isn't one, they have looked inside, which I can't do, and there are no videos to review.
