I'm really sorry to hear that you've lost your HP laptop, I know how stressful that can be. 💔
Unfortunately, HP does not provide support for lost or stolen laptops, and this situation is not covered under warranty, as per HP’s policies.
Additionally, since the serial number is confidential and unique to your device, HP cannot retrieve or share it based on a personal ID number or any other identifier. For privacy and security reasons, we do not store or have access to your device’s serial number once the device is out of our inventory and in customer possession.
Here’s what you can try instead:
Check your HP product box or invoice – The serial number is often printed there.
Check any HP Support emails – If you’ve ever contacted HP support in the past, your ticket or confirmation email might include the serial number.
Check linked devices on your Microsoft account
Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/devices
If your laptop was signed in with your Microsoft account, it may still show up under “Devices” with the serial number.
Check your HP Smart app (on your phone/tablet if installed) – Sometimes it retains past printer or PC info.
If your device was stolen, we strongly recommend that you:
Report the loss to your local authorities
Inform your bank and change your passwords (especially if your laptop had saved credentials)
