Hello to whoever reads this!

I recently purchased a new battery for my laptop since it's 4 years old and it had gotten to the point it would only last about 1 hour. This new battery works great and lasts 5 hours! But after I shut off my laptop and brought it to class the next day, I noticed it wouldn't turn on. This didn't make sense to me since I left it charging overnight so it has to be at 100%. But then I noticed the charging light was blinking so I plugged it in and voilà!!! It turns on and as I guessed, it's at 100%! I just unplugged the charger and my laptop proceeded to work perfectly fine, but then the same issue happened wherever I shut it off as it could only be jumpstarted with a charger. I tried to solve this by calibrating the battery, but after I did that, the status still said the battery wasn't calibrated. It looked like the problem was solved as it would turn on immediately after I shut it off, but then when I shut it off and kept the power off overnight, I had to jumpstart it on again in the morning. Maybe it's a time issue where if my laptop stays shut off for too long, I have to jumpstart it.

I would really like to solve this problem so I don't have to resort to purchasing a whole new laptop/notebook so I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me : )
