You could try testing it first.  Do you have the hp support software installed, it may help to find newer drivers.  Have you anything else plugged in at the same time? Did it just do a windows update? Can you remember the last software installed before it happened?

I have tried hp diagnostics. I did a reset of windows also. But in vain. My external keyboard and touchpad are working. Its very sudden damage, should be due to some software update.

My keyboard and touchpad work in BIOS environment just fine. They do not work normally.

Try this to see, it may help, it is the first thing Microsoft always advises.

Have you anything running in the background, touch screen software, voice software?

What exactly is wrong with the keyboard and mouse, in what way are they not working?

I tried this too yesterday. It did not work too. I also tried reinstalling windows. But nothing works
