HP Pavilion 15Notebook PO83SA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion 15-p083sa Notebook PC & the lettering on my keyboard has worn off about 15 of the keys making it really hard to use.

My problem is I cannot for the life of me find out what type of keys I need to get to replace them.

I bought a cheap keyboard for a N266EZ thinking they might fit but no they don't, I then bought a keyboard for a AB291SA, again don't fit, can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction as to the type I need.

cheers

The individual keys are not a recognized replacement part. You would have to replace the whole keyboard. Sometimes sellers on eBay will part out a keyboard and sell individual keys but to buy 15 keys would cost much more than a whole keyboard if you try to buy that way.

Hi @mkong4,

I looked up the Maintenance and Service Guide for your notebook. The parts catalogue listing keyboard part numbers for your model starts on page 22. It's a long list, so make sure you find the part you need based on which country you live in and what type of keyboard part you need (for example, some include a replacement touchpad, some don't).

I have found the part you have directed me to but this is not what I am wanting, it is the individual keys that I need. With full size textured island-style Keyboard and numeric keypad black for use in the United Kingdom 762529-031

Many thanks for your reply, I must say I am disappointed that I have to replace these keys/keyboard after what I consider to be a couple of years "light" use, over the years I have had several laptops & never encountered this problem, looks like it back to "Dell" for me next time.

It happens on all laptops....they all have their keyboards manufactured at the same factories from the same components.

Worn key letters come up on the Dell, Lenovo, etc. Forums.
