Just got the laptop trying to set it up, its new, and when i try to put my wifi pw in its the wrong letters typed then what im typing.

I see you are experiencing Keyboard issues with the HP Notebook.  

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • The only 'problem' is that you forgot to turn off the NumLock key. So, simply press the NumLock key once and check if your keyboard now types the correct characters.

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
