Known motherboard issue Spectre x360
02-27-2021 02:52 AM

My HP Spectre has literally just stopped working. No screen or fan response; only a flashing LED on the power button. I tried all the obvious things advised by the HP Virtual Support and other forums. Still no response! Frustratingly, it has very recently come out of warranty, so I sent to a recommended specialist, who said it's a known motherboard issue. This is frustrating as I have already had to buy 3 power leads, due to the mains adapters having issue. I had to get a faulty charging port fixed with HP, and now, out of warranty, I find out that the motherboard has gone!!! Any ideas if there has been a recall for the Spectre X360? Or if there are any cases of HP fixing this issue out of warranty?? It was a very expensive laptop, which essentially I like, but is now rendered useless and specialists are not able to fix due to access to parts etc.

Hi @Smiler_Stu,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
in case any recall support team let you know the information
As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!
