HP Pavilion 17-e119wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
So I had to replace my laptop hdd after it stopped working giving me a 24 number error when performing a system check... I actually reported it on this forum ( https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Boot-and-Lockup/Hard-Drive-Short-DTS-Check/m-p/6634021#M13638... ) and got a response pretty quick and the guy suggested me to change my Hard drive.

I changed my hard drive, finally I was able to install Windows, boot up and all of that except for one problem, my pc is slower than tar even on mundane tasks like opening the start menu. It's worth to notice that my pc was faily quick when It had the factory default hdd (the one I had to replace cuz it stop working https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-5400RPM-SATA3-Notebook-MQ01ABD100/dp/B00AUH3L04)

I don't wanna think it's my new hard drive fault, since i heard of people that even after upgrading to an ssd the pc got slower soooo.... Who knows

Aha. That is an older piece of hardware. Legacy you might say. It is a 60 gig SATA-I drive. You really need to spring for something a little more modern.

If there are people out there who replaced a hdd with an ssd and the system got slower they are not doing something right. Are you somehow suggesting the advice to replace your hard drive was incorrect and you would be better off with the old drive? If so just put it back in the system. If you want to troubleshoot why your system is slow now we can start with an identification of the hard drive you used to replace the old one and how you reinstalled Windows to it.

Did you do a clean install with a USB windows installer or did you perform a factory image recovery with a USB recovery flash drive?

Frequently when people have issues with an SSD upgrade it is because they have used one that was the wrong memory type or the wrong host controller interface.

@HufferIt looks like we were responding at the same time. 🙂

**bleep**!
That's the one I have spared so that's the one I used.

Im not a very pc savy guy, maybe that's why I didn't saw that one coming.

So what if I buy an ssd. My laptop is like from 2014 so I don't even know of it will support an ssd. Could I install one?

Of course from the outside they look just like a hard drive and are a drop in replacement. If you are running Windows in 60 gigs you are going to think a 120 gig SSD is spacious and they are not horribly expensive. Get something like this:
