Windows often get stuck and the laptop is slow. I already have added an additional 8GB ram. I want to use 256GB SSD along with the existing 1TB HDD. Which SSD is supporting my laptop.
I found that my laptop supports SSD m.2 SATA III.
Is that right?
motherboard
Will it not support NVMe SSD ?
Suggest me some SSD driver to purchase from India.
Will below one work ?
Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-N6E250)

You're very welcome.
The specs on the Amazon, India site are incorrect.
The specs on the WD Blue M.2 SATA drive are:
Sequential read speeds up to 560MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 530MB/s.
You cannot just look at the M.2 slot and determine what type drive it supports.
You have to read the service manual to see what drives are supported, which is why I gave you the link.
The SATA drives with two notches fit in the slot with the single key just fine.
The second notch just doesn't make contact with the pins in the M.2 slot on the other side.
I 100% guarantee you that if you install a NVMe SSD in your notebook, it will not work.

Hi:
Your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types...SATA only.

The Samsung M.2 SSD will work fine.
You may also want to look into this one...has about the same specs (slightly faster write speed) as the Samsung and costs a bit less.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I checked Western Digital WD Blue m.2 SATA SSD and Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA M.2 (2280).
Samsung offers Sequential Read/Write speeds up to 550/520 MB/s respectively. whereas WD blue has Maximum Read 3000mbps and 3800 maximum write. Clearly samsung is much faster.
Secondly, I have doubt if the motherboard has two notches or just one for the pin support. Please check motherboard pic where m.2x3 is written. There one cut between pins are there to insert one side of the SSD.
