Probook 640 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This has been ongoing since I got my laptop. At home I have a standard mains charger, at work an HP USB-C charger. Occasionally the laptop goes into a mode where it is still connected to the USB-C but not actively charging. The power notification will say "Plugged in, charging" but clicking on that says, "Plugged in, discharging".

If I notice, unplugging the USB-C twice usually solves it.

If I don't, I take it home and it's trouble. The battery will quickly drain because it thinks it really is still on the USB-C. But it isn't and won't accept charge from the mains adapter. The only solution I've found is to let it get down to 0% and shutdown. That clears out the condition. A reboot on it's own does not help. I tried running diagnostics on the battery while in this state and it claims the battery has a blown fuse - but running diagnostics when it is not in this state shows the battery is perfectly fine.

Any solution? Or workaround?
