Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello my laptop after an update does not seem to be working. I see a new watermark in lower right corner saying windows 8.1 9600. After computer finally boots up nothing appears on home screen except my background. No icon not anything. Cannot click anywhere. Can someone please help!?!?!?
