Pavilion x360 (2017 i7, 8GB RAM model)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I use my laptop for long durations daily. When my laptop charges to 100%, should I keep it plugged in or allow it to discharge and then again recharge when the battery falls below a certain %? Please keep in mind that I am continuously using my laptop. So when it's 100% charged I'm using it. Some sources on the internet say that as soon as the laptop is fully charged, it starts using AC power directly and not battery power. Some other sources tell that the laptop uses only battery power, and continuously keeping it plugged in causes many repeated cycles to occur resulting in fast degradation of the battery.

I want an answer specific to my model of laptop.

Please help if someone knows how this hp model manages power supply.

That's true, batteries and chargers now are smarter than you thought, they will stop the charging process when full. Please use the following guide to keep the battery of your machine healthier

Thanks for your reply.
