Hi everyone, lately I noticed that my pc easily reaches the temperature of 70-80 degrees centigrade and when I play it can reach 90 degrees.
Since I noticed that despite these high temperatures the fan seems not to work, I thought it might be broken, because I hardly ever hear any noise from the fan when the pc is hot (only sometimes but I have to put my ear to the pc to hear it ), nor is hot air expelled (I just cleaned the grill a few days ago).
And sometimes I also hear a high pitched noise coming from there.
So my question is: is it really possible that having a 9 year old pc the fan could be broken or faulty?
Also, what can I do to prevent the CPU from reaching this high temperature even when I am not performing stressful laptop actions?
