With my wonderful luck.  My laptop was charging (while I was using it of course), and it happened to fall, on the side that the charger was plugged in on.  It wouldn't be an issue if it WASN'T A HARDWOOD FLOOR. It also wouldn't be an issue if it would still charge.  Issue is, it won't charge, the battery went dead and now I can't use it because it won't charge.

TLDR: Fell while plugged in, fell on the side is was plugged in, onto hardwood floor, now won't charge, despite the charger still being in tact.

It likely broke the power port inside the laptop. On your model the power port (jack) is on a separate module on a pigtail that plugs into the motherboard so its possible its not too bad (expensive) of a repair but it is going to need to be opened and examined by a technician.
