Product: HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1239ng

I have this laptop for about 2 years now and since last week it startes lagging heavily after connecting it to the charger. The grafics card driver is up to date and i couldn't solve the problem through the processor power management as well as through deleting and reinstalling the battery driver. A BIOS update led to the same outcome. I also ran a hardware diagnosis for the battery and the charger through the HP support assistant. While the battery seems to be fine, the diagnosis for the charger seems to cancel itself and not show any results. The hardware and charger are still the same from when i bought the laptop. Everything i see online doesn't seem to work. Should i go to a repair shop or is there still a way through which i can sort it out myself?
